History of MegerMaldives Operations by Double Builders Maldives (2011–2013)
In 2011, Double Builders Maldives, operating under the brand name MegerMaldives, launched a series of successful charter operations that marked the beginning of its footprint in Maldivian aviation. During this year, the company operated four full charter flight schedules along with two additional charter services in the early part of the year, serving both tourism and local travel needs.
A subsequent charter route via Hong Kong faced operational delays due to necessary adjustments in flight timings during school holiday periods. These changes impacted approximately 495 passengers, highlighting the challenges of managing international charter schedules within fluctuating seasonal demands.
Despite these disruptions, the company continued to maintain its commitment to domestic connectivity. MegerMaldives successfully operated the Charter IslandAviation 5 flights between Malé and Addu in 2011. This service was temporarily halted but was later resumed in 2013, maintaining a steady average of 1,800 passengers annually on this southern route.
In 2013, MegerMaldives further expanded its engagement through local partnerships and hosted the "Ticket Party InerMaldives 2013–2014", an event symbolizing its growing role in the regional aviation and tourism sector.
